What is Colon Hydrotherapy?
Colon Hydrotherapy is a method of internally cleansing the entire length of your colon (large intestine) without the use of drugs or chemicals. Colon Hydrotherapy, also referred to as high enema or colonic, is one of the best-kept secrets among health conscious people. While many of us maintain a healthy regimen of diet and exercise, most people are not aware of the importance of regular internal cleansing to help prevent constipation and fecal impaction.Learning to take proper care of your inner environment is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle.
What exactly does Colon Hydrotherapy accomplish?
Colon Hydrotherapy is a safe, gentle treatment which can help clear the colon, eliminate toxic build-up, and encourage healthy function of the large intestine.
Who can benefit from Colon Hydrotherapy?
Colonics are not just for those who are constipated. Common signs of a toxic colon include sinus problems, headaches, bad breath, abdominal gas, bloating, diarrhea, fatigue, skin blemished, etc. While the lungs, skin, kidneys, and liver also help to eliminate toxins, people have experienced that when the colon is cleansed and rejuvenated, the well-being of the whole body is enhanced. Many people find that the relief provided by colonics stimulates their motivation and enthusiasm to institute positive changes in their lifestyle.
Won’t laxatives or enemas accomplish the same results?
Laxatives are considered an irritant and stimulant to the colon which the colon may become used to, and dependent upon, to function. Over time, laxatives can also weaken the walls of the colon and lead to further problems. Enemas only cleanse the lower 8 - 12 inches of the colon, while colonics can actually cleanse the entire colon (approximately five feet).
What can I expect from Colon Hydrotherapy?
For most people, a colonic session is a comfortable experience. The therapy involves gently filling the colon with warm, filtered water through a disposable, sanitized system. During your session, we work together to achieve your goals and your comfort is a top priority. When the water flows out, it carries with it any material that has built up in the colon, including waste matter, toxins, and trapped gasses through a completely closed system - no exposure to client or therapist. The first session is 2 hours (history, reflexology and colon therapy), and after that, each session is 45 - 60 minutes.
Why do people have Colon Hydrotherapy sessions?
Colon Hydrotherapy is an effective treatment in cases of constipation, diarrhea, gas, bloating, hemorrhoids, irritable bowel syndrome, parasites, or skin conditions, i.e., psoriasis and eczema. Colon Hydrotherapy is a preventive treatment, effectively cleansing the colon walls to improve the large intestine’s function in detoxification, immunity, and nutritional balance of the body. And finally, colon hydrotherapy provides the most effective preparation for diagnostic procedures relating to the large intestine including: Barium enema, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy and surgery. Preparation utilizing colon hydrotherapy would obviate the need for laxatives and other oral preparations. This technique promotes an optimal examination site and allows for a more accurate diagnosis.*suggested treatment protocols are available
